What is a SwitchIn?
The SwitchIn is a TV display format: when you switch channels, your ad appears as an L-banner around the running program without interrupting it. You do not need a produced video spot for it.
What is a Spot?
The Spot is a full-screen video ad in a premium streaming environment, non-skippable and on the largest screen in the household. Ideal if you want to convey a moving brand message.
Which ad format suits me?
SwitchIn is suitable for fast, attention-grabbing campaigns without video production. Spot is suitable if you already have a video or want maximum brand impact in full screen. Both can also be combined.
Targeting
What targeting options are there?
Over 100 options: demographics, region, interests and household attributes. This way you reach exactly the households that are relevant to you, without unnecessary wastage.
Can I target regionally?
Yes. Regional targeting is possible down to city level. This makes local campaigns and drive-to-store goals just as feasible as national reach.
How precise is the delivery?
Delivery is data-based at household level. This makes streaming advertising significantly more precise than classic TV advertising and digitally measurable.
Platforms & reach
On which platforms does my advertising run?
On premium streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and RTL+ as well as other platforms, live and on-demand, nationally or regionally. You select your preferred streamers yourself in the Ad Manager.
On which devices is it delivered?
The focus is on the Smart TV, the largest screen in the household. The advertising runs in the environment of your audience’s favorite content, where people watch attentively.
How large is the reach?
By bundling the leading streaming services, you reach a premium audience across Germany. You can estimate the specific reach of your campaign in the budget calculator on the pricing page.
Pricing & budget
Is there a minimum budget?
Yes, the minimum budget is €1,000 per campaign. Over a run of around four weeks that is about €33 per day, making Smart TV advertising accessible for companies of any size.
What does delivery cost?
Billing is based on cost per mille (CPM) from €14. The exact CPM depends on the audience and streaming environment and is shown to you transparently as a net price.
How do I calculate my campaign?
On the pricing page you use the budget calculator to directly compute the reach your budget achieves. You immediately see what your campaign delivers, without a quote request.
Reporting & measurement
How do I measure my campaign’s success?
Your campaign is digitally measurable: impressions, completions and reach are reported transparently. So you can see at any time how your advertising is performing.
Do I see the results updated daily?
Yes. The relevant metrics are continuously available to you in the Ad Manager so you can track the progress of your campaign.
Do I only pay for advertising actually delivered?
Billing is based on delivered contacts (CPM). With SwitchIn, only what is actually seen is billed, so if a viewer switches away during the display, no costs arise for it.
